Problems with rendering and the dvd not playing in the dvd player…any suggestions?

Responding to both comments:
The template I am using is:
DVD Architect NTSC Widescreen Video Stream.
I then select Custom-Audio-Include Audio Stream.
The Bit rate is 224.

If you don’t mind me asking. What exactly is a Bit Rate? Will a lower bit rate have a large effect on the quality of the video.

I should add…that I somehow got it to work by adding in chapters on the DVD architect and by making the burn rate slower. Quite baffled by it.
