Problems re-linking Proxy timeline with original BRaw Files

Hi to everybody,

It seems to be indeed a bug or short coming of Version 15.
In Version 16 it does re-link without a problem.

Just not sure if I want 16 already… usually I don’t trust first versions of an upgrade.

BRAW has developed quickly since 15 so maybe that version was having difficulty recognising the BRAW files if it was shot with the latest camera upgrade.

And I have found 16 Beta more stable and much improved over 15. 16 Release is out. I recommend you use it and if you are worried – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9EcRN14JdvE

Hallo Michael,

Unfortunately, not working – I upgraded to 16, and still would not reconnect.

And actually, 16 does seem to be way more buggy: Getting occasional black frames flickering into playback without any apparent reason.

I’ve not heard of any of those problems you are having. 16 has been very stable for me all through the beta phase.

Hey Sacha!

Did you ever find a fix for this? Ii am having the exact same issue, and the folks at Blackmagic don’t seem to understand what’s going on / can’t replicate the issue.

Yes, I did.
Go to preferences -> general and there uncheck the box “Use Mac Display Color Profiles”.

At least, that is what I remember solved it.

If you remember… when you went to link the proxy files via “Relink Selected Files”, were you just getting grayed-out files like the attached image?

Wait, I think we are talking of two different issues now:
One was the flickering screen when playing back timeline,
This was solved by the method I described before.
What you meanness the other issue i had: DVR would not
Relink to the Proxy Files when BRaw is the Master, right?

Correct, the relinking issue between BRAW and other format proxies. Any thoughts? I’ve been trying to solve this issue for weeks!
