PP CS6 hangs on open

I found this answer on another forum and it helped me so I thought I’d post it here for anyone with that issue:

exporterquicktimehost.bundle and adobe premiere cs6

After installing Adobe Master Collection CS6 on a workstation, Adobe Premiere CS6 stalls when loading ExporterQuicktimeHost.bundle. Did the following as a “quickfix” to bypass this problem:

1. Go to Applications

2. Go to Adobe Premiere CS6

3. Right click on the application and click on “Show Package Contents”

4. Go to Contents –> Plug-ins –> Common

5. Move the following files to the desktop: ExporterQuicktimeHost.bundle and ImporterQuicktimeHost.bundle

6. Restart Adobe Premiere CS6 and it will successfully open up

I did as you instructed and it worked! I can’t believe it! It was working fine last night and acted up today, but your fix corrected it. Thanks so much!

Ah yes, everyone take note of this, Perian has been always caused issues and hasn’t been supported for a few years so get rid of it ASAP.
