February 17, 2012 at 8:52 amOK, done some testing now with one single card installed:
Slot 1 gives me 16x for Quadro 4000 and 16x for ATI
Slot 2 gives me 1x for Quadro 4000 and 16x for ATI
Twilight zone, anyone?

February 17, 2012 at 9:03 amCan you run the ATI in Slot 2 and the Quadro in Slot 1 and see if you get better performance in Resolve. Attach the monitor to ATI card. Nothing should be connected to the Quadro.
It sounds like you need to get your Quadro replaced.

February 17, 2012 at 10:33 amYeah, I could try that, but is’t not a solution since the ATI-card uses 2 PCI-slots and I need all four.

February 25, 2012 at 4:34 amdoes the ati card use both gpu power cords built into the mac? the quadro 4000 needs one too, and I believe those stock ATI cards use both power cards if I’m not mistaken. if the quadro doesn’t have the additional power, it might explain why it’s just getting powered up enough by the mobo but not enough to spin up using all the lanes.

February 27, 2012 at 7:31 amNo, the 5770 only uses 1 external power. Thats why I cant’t use the 5870, since it uses both.
Thanks, will try to get the card exchanged.
