The “edit by thought” features of X-Files technology will initially be available only to experienced filmmakers with more than 20-years in the business. Newbies, neophytes, and younger editors will have to qualify over a period of several years before receiving access to that option. It’s Apple’s way of paying back those who’ve suffered most due to FCP’s removal of all barriers to entry into the business.
