Appreciate the tips, specifically about not fluffing it with “wedding vid” stuff. I’m sticking with the chisel analogy.

    Thanks!

[Bob Flood] “the first shot of the movie was the bride stepping into her panties”

I hope the last shot was the groom getting into her panties…

I edit and produce and direct documentaries for various networks — and the best wedding video I did contained no video.

Just snapshots – animated to music — go to DVD Studio Pro – get their Wedding Template menu — stick on their favorite music – move the pictures — done

It was a gift for a couple – old friends — they had the 2 camera video shoot and professional stills there all day – they hated what those folks came up with

    Loved the simple photoanimated montage.

    Simple is usually better Andy

Wow! Everyone’s pretty harsh! I love editing wedding videos! Just pick good soundtracks & slow mo a lot of the footage. A lot of the same story principles that go into a feature, go into a wedding video… just on a lower end scale and of course there are no multiple takes! Good luck, and HAVE FUN!

Ok… I think you had the worst case scenario of a wedding video…. Man…..
