March 29, 2017 at 11:03 pmYou are so right! I guess my thoughts were initially triggered by BIll’s reference to philosophers.

We’re actually USING emojis to exceptional business effect these days.
We use Emoji’s in my XinTwo production system to visually designate which lessons are in progress, which are pending review and which are finalized.
To wit:
???? VO Recorded
???? Video Captured
????File sent to the team member.
♦️Do not distribute without OK
????Minor notes need addressing
✅ OK to distribute
It’s been a MAJOR improvement in our team communication and I can scan a list of titles and instantly know exactly which need attention and which are ready to export.
Once again, things aren’t good or bad by nature, they are what you make of them.
Just a FYI.

March 30, 2017 at 1:17 amImagine the next version of FCPX uses emojis in place of icons. Better still, we tag footage with emojis. Sigh. Wait, forgot we are not to use that word along with dinosaur. ????

I know there are different technical generation issues and capabilities behind each – but at some level, a rose is a rose, perhaps.
I stopped laughing at emojis the moment they started making my work easier.
Big fan now.
