Activity Forums Adobe After Effects Pixel aspect ratio in Adobe Media Encoder

    This is probably useless to you now, but I was searching the forums frantically looking for an answer to this problem… And then I found something.

    In CS5 at least, the aspect ratio controls aren’t found in the export settings. I had to go to file/Interpret footage, then I could change my aspect ratio. Everything went perfectly after that.

    The file interpretation option could be located somewhere a bit more intuitive..

    Hi Knut,

    10 years after the OP, I was suffering (and getting frustrated) from the same thing in Media Encoder 2019.
    But I found a solution.
    It’s not in the settings pane, but in the upper left corner: set ‘Source Scaling’ to ‘Scale to Fill’. That should do what you want.

    or better: Stretch to Fill, to stretch the non square pixels to square.
