well then that’s even better – it saves me buying a 4 bay enclosure spending that money instead in drives then to have as many duplicates as i possibly can…
one last thing, since the Green Caviars have been flawless in these 2 Raid 1 enclosures, is it OK to persist on that direction & get a couple more drives to make duplicates ?
i truly appreciate your effort in getting me sorted, thank you SO much – my music collection means SO MUCH to me ! 😉

June 23, 2013 at 9:46 pmI think if it works now keep with it. You would be protected in case of RAID failure with the offsite backup. If the RAID fails at any point and requires rebuilding, immediately transfer your materials from the offsite backup onto a brand new single drive. And at that point ditch the RAID 1 enclosure and get a single drive enclosure.
