    Lawrence,
I wasn’t convinced about my “discovery”, so I uninstalled again the entire sw, cleared all the Adobe folders ( Master Collection) and re-start step by step.
So I’ve found that mpeg audio bug isn’t relative of the .dll I listed over there.
    There are .dll named something…mpg…dll.
These are the ones I want to fix the bug.
I’ve just copied the previous ones (PPCS4 4.0.0) in a folder so I can check which file will be changed/corrupted after this bloody update.
The 4.0.1 update fixes lot of bugs, so it’s a pity not take advantage of them.
It will take just a bit and I’ll come back soon.
If I’ll get I’ll ask a job in Adobe muddlers Team.
    See you soon

    Giorgio

    Try and let me know:

    1) close adobe premiere

    2) open My Computer>tools>folder options>view tab.
In the advanced settings section, make sure ‘show hidden files and folders’ is selected.

3)open My computer and go to c:\ (drive) > Documents and settings>UserName (no all user!!!)>Application Data>Adobe>common>Media Cache Files.
(If you’ve choosen another folder to stock the files, then go there and find Media Cache Files)

    4) in this folder find the files you were just trying to import by searching the name.
you will now see 3 different file types with the same file name you were importing: .CFA, .PEK, .MPGINDEX. delete them all!

    5) go back and open adobe premiere, open up your project again and it will automatically recreate those files you just deleted. correctly, (I hope).

Have you noticed that PProCS4 takes less time in project opening?
Probably this is because of same settings are not initialize like the previous release of premiere!
Let me know if I had to write an application letter to Adobe. eh, eh.
