Hi John, do you Know if there is a way to hook up the Apple 24″ LED amd a Matrox MXO to a macbook pro?

    Thanks up front!

Brad, in my original post I said LED, but meant LCD. As my MBP has DVI outs it was easy to connect to the MXO and Cinema 23. Other than reading about them, I’ve no experience with mini DisplayPorts. I’d go with the advice given above by very experienced users.

Hi Michael, Sorry to keep bugging! Should i get a Martox MXO 2, this way i could have an hdmi out to have a viewing display as well Right?
I could also use apple color, I think you need a PCI card for that right?
My matrox MXO shows up tomorrow. What do you think?
    Thanks for all your help!

Right. The MXO has DVI out for computer monitors, then the normal pro outs for pro decks and monitors. The MXO 2 doesn’t have DVI, but does have HDMI out to HDTVs. And like the MXO, you can adjust the bars on the TV to be proper bars. This effects ONLY the output via HDMI.

You can use Color with the MXO and computer monitor. As long as you are using Leopard. And the MXO2 does ship with a PCIe and Express34 card…both.

Your choice. All we can do is tell you the options.
