Sounds like your crew wasn’t adequately trained, and the fact that you had to buy upgrades mid-stream means you didn’t do your research first.

Thanks to everybody for all the feedback and well wishes.
We’re moving forward now that my editor is back in town and he has a G4 laptop with a PCMCIA slot. He’ll be on set from this point on for whatever filming time we can afford over the next few days. This laptop method works much better than the P2 Store ever did.
Lesson learned? The PC Slot rules! And, don’t trust anybody who says they know the workflow until they can prove it.
