February 15, 2007 at 6:35 pmThere’s no word on capacity because there *is* no capacity. That new device doesn’t have any storage in it (unless something changed from when they introduced it at DV Expo). It records to cards, not to a hard disk. It’s not a P2 Store replacement. Although apparently it may allow you to plug in an external FW or USB drive and do the same type of job that a P2 Store does, but that’s not really what it’s for.

Get the most from your DVX camera. The DVX Book and DVX DVD are now available on ebay and at Amazon (https://www.fiftv.com/db) -

What’s the point of this then?

February 17, 2007 at 3:54 pmI’m with you. I still don’t see the point.
Throw a harddrive in there and I’m a buyer. This IS an HXV without the lens. Only attractive feature is the HD-SDI output, but AGAIN, why? The workflow now is for direct P2 transfer into an NLE.
I don’t get it.
