OT: Steve Jobs Starting his Keynote

Noticed that the speed of the 3.0 Intel quad is listed as being up to 1.4x as fast as the G5 quad… which itself is not all that much faster than the G5 dual for most FCP usage. Clearly their claim of 2.1X as fast ast the G5 has to be taken with a grain of salt… Wish they would compare Apples to Apples 😉

Hi Walter,
I noticed that Apple is selling the ATI 1900 XT as an add on card for 499. If you are itching to try out the new systems like I am then we can always upgrade in a few weeks. Not a bad start since they still haven’t separately released the 7800 GT for the PCI-e G5’s.
