    wow peter. Thanks. I was a bit bummed I couldn’t check out the photomosiac thing in the new OS as I haven’t purchased it yet. But now I’ve seen something even greater.

    Chris,

    According to the awesome Ars review of Leopard, the new OS uses system-level text rendering that was in Tiger but wasn’t system-wide. This might account for the percieved difference in text rendering.
