1. It’s going to be sluggish for a few hours while the revamped spotlight reindexes your entire hard drive. When you see the dot in the spotlight and everything is slow – that’s why. Go have some coffee and throw a ball with your kids. It’ll be better soon.
2. You need to run disk utility on the OS drive and repair permissions. This should be done on the install, but it ain’t. Had an old macbook pro that was almost useless till we did that, now it’s heaven.
I think the #1 thing I like about it are the improvements to mail.app.

August 25, 2011 at 7:22 pmJohn…I would first have to get past the kernal panic which appeared EVERY time I started my computer to do any of those things. I am going to sit tight for a while. I really need my laptop.
