November 25, 2013 at 7:22 pmActually, now that I look at the actual graphic on scopes, did any of this originate from an analog capture?
The black on most of the screen is raised. What I thought would be super black is not, it’s just 0 black.
Could this be a miscaptured analog signal?

See my point above – all graphics come in at zero black rather than proper sub blacks (that is if there were sub blacks to start with).

But bring in his screen grab (I know, not a scientific test) and this is what you see.
The PS4 is zero black, everything else is not. So, either, as you suggest, the PS4 is super black and is now raised, or everything else is not zero black to start with and has been setup, twice.
The PS4 graphic is the one that was cropped.
Or perhaps there’s color board adjustment on the BG clip and it’s throwing it out of wack?

November 25, 2013 at 8:05 pmYes, good points. I hadn’t actually looked at this clip to see what you’re seeing but that makes sense.
It could suggest that the PS$ logo is the part that’s been digitised (including its sub black) whereas the rest is/are imported graphic(s).

November 25, 2013 at 8:53 pmHi guys.
No colour board adjustment on the background.
The background is a basic title.
