I had formatted the card but still the same issue with the video, thanks for your advise.

You might want to try using a 95mb card. The D7100 needs a faster card to perform up to spec. If you know someone with a Ninja, try it on your camera to see if the camera is functioning properly. You might have an issue with your camera, under warranty?
