New Mac Pro…semi-laments and asking for I/O suggestions

FCP very much DOES use multiple CPU’s. I won’t say it uses them as well as it could, but I often see all EIGHT CORES doing 50-80% usage when rendering.

MXO2 does full cross conversion on input and output. its full mix and match. all the analog audio connections makes it very easy to plug in either several stereo VTR’s for input ( pick which pair during capture ) or use all the outs to feed stereo to monitors, VTRs, whatever. this eliminates a lot of DA’s and wiring. of course it can also directly support 5.1 monitoring too which is really nice and simple to setup.
