August 3, 2005 at 4:43 am[Bob] “I just got a Wacom Intuos, which has a 5 button mouse & I HATE the side buttons! Click the darn things all the time by mistake. WHY can’t ALL the mouse designers take a hard look at the Logitech MX500/700 5-button mice – they’re SUPERB. Ergonomic and the extra buttons are neatly tucked out of accidental triggering zone. I’m considering returning the Intuos because the mouse is so poor.”
I didn’t care for the Wacom mouse either, but I got so used to using the Intuous tablet (and you do buy it for the tablet, not the mouse, after all), that I rarely reach for the mouse, Wacom’s or original equipment, for anything. I do plan to try the Apple multibutton mouse, just to get a taste of Hell Frozen Over.

You don’t buy an Intuos for the mouse. 90% of the Intuos users hate the mouse. Have you tried using the stylus? Give it some time – your wrist will thank you. Then you will sail along in Motion w/ getures.

August 4, 2005 at 5:43 pmI’m more curious about the “scrollball”. Will it work as a trackball in FCP 3-way Color Corrector?

August 5, 2005 at 3:43 pmI played with it at the apple store and was really unimpressed. the squeezing was ok not accidental, but the scroll ball is too small and a bit annoying to use…
meh…
