December 20, 2005 at 12:10 pmOddly enough, I have been importing MP3’s since the day AE added the format. I have never, ever had 1 issue with it. I only use them for reference ofcourse,….but still never had an error or problem of any sort…….
…strange….
btw – I am on a PC, not that it should matter?

As I suspected, it was the codec pack. I came to work this morning and decided to see if upgrading the K-lite codec(from 2.54 to 2.65)would do anything and right away I was able to import the mp3 in AE and it also took care of the DTS audio decoding problem I was having.
I wanted to let you know that in response to all your inputs.
