Thank you for helping me. I just found the post and solved the same problem by renaming the .mov file to mp4.

Hi Rob Baker can you please let me know whether & how (if) you fixed your problem importing files from your kodak zx1 pocket HD camera? I have exact same problem with the same camera and software and I have been trying all night to resolve this without success. I tried to fix it with a new .dll file from sony which gave me the problem in reverse after installation (sound but no video after importing to SVMSP9) I restored my system and now have video without sound again in SVMSP9 which I prefer if I cant have both in the meantime. I use music in the background of my video for now but would really like to know what anyoneelse did who have the same camera and software!!!

I can now drag the native .mov files off the camera directly into Vegas with no problems. I actually copy them to a local disk first 🙂

I’m assuming that Sony fixed this issue in my current version of Vegas (64 bit Windows)
    Vegas Pro 9.0e (Build 1146)

    Hi everyone,

I found a solution for this problem. Just rename your file. One way to do this is through WinRAR archiver.

    1. Archive your video using WInRAR.

    2. Open the archived file (.rar) containing your video file

    3. Once your archived file is open, right click on the filename of the video, “Rename” to change the file extension to .mp4. e.g. if your video is named performance.mov, just change it to performance.mp4

    4. Once the file extension is changed, extract the renamed file.

That’s it, you can open the renamed file in Sony Vegas with audio now playing.
