Activity Forums Adobe After Effects Mocha AE in CS6?

    Hi Ross,

    I have a specific question.

How do I reopen a saved Mocha project that I send from After Effects?

When I save a Mocha project, shut down Mocha, and then try to re-open the project by double clicking it, I get “License Error: mocha AE CS6 must only be launched from After Effects”.

I get that I can launch it from AE, but do I really have to send a random clip to Mocha within AE just to open a project?

    Doesn’t really make much sense.

    Thanks for your time.

Why is it I can’t see Mocha-ae in my CS6 AE effects panel. Am I missing something, on my mac book and my power mac, it just isn’t there – only Mocha Shape.

The programme appears when I search the files and if I click on it it tells me it must be opened in AE, but how?

In CS6, you use the “send to mocha” command found under the AE animation menu.

Yes I know – but the link did not appear. I have re-installed and it is now there, but now I am getting an openGL error when I try to bring bring in the file.

Strange. Try going to the preferences after launching mocha AE and turn off “use hw rendering. Then relaunch mocha AE.

Otherwise, best to log this with support:

But where is Mocha for AE CS6? I can’t locate anywhere after my install.

Phil, it is embedded in AE. To use it…

    1. Highlight the clip in your comp

    2. Go to Animation/Track in Mocha

And Mocha will open up. Its been integrated into CS6 so you must have AE open to access Mocha.
