i’ve also had the same problem with the codec issue. and i got suggestions that i use Calibrated{Q} XD Decode for Windows. i downloaded the trial version but i do not no how to configure it in my premiere pro so that it could import the .mov files that was wrapped in xdcam ex codec.

how do i configure Calibrated{Q} XD Decode for Windows so that it works for premiere pro?

    thanks a lot!

    Hi,

You shouldn’t have to set any of the options in Calibrated{Q} XD Decode for Windows for it to work.

Please note that you should be using QT Player 7.6 and an Intel processor that supports SSE3 instructions (please see User Guide for any further requirements)

If you can open a XDCAM EX MOV file in QT Player, then it seems like Calibrated{Q} XD Decode is installed and working properly, however if you only see a white or black screen in QT Player – then it looks like Calibrated{Q} XD Decode is not properly installed. If this is the case, then check to make sure that the CalibratedXDQ.qtx file is located in the Program Files/QuickTime/QTComponents folder – amd if it’s not in there then you can manually copy it to that folder from the Program Files/Calibrated/Plugins/QuickTime folder and then restart.

    Cheers,
    Greg
