MC 4 — How to get it??????

As a quick test I loaded up some tutorial projects that came with my copy of Avid MC 5.5 in Avid MC 8 and all the media and sequences showed up fine. These are tutorials so the sequences are long, but ‘standard’ avid effects like color correction, time warp, picture in picture, etc.,. all displayed properly.

I would still load up everything on a new drive (or at least partition) that’s separate from your existing drive/partition but it should work. I think the concern from the reseller that you talked to was over blown. With that being said, you’d still need to go to Avid’s website and make sure your computer meets the specs to run MC8.

Thanks. I think part of the problem is the fact that my older MacPro will not run MC 8. It requires a much newer Mac than the one I have.
