For me the resolution at 1/4 is OK. Think of it as burning 1920 X 1080 project to Blu-Ray and DVD. The Blu-ray will have better quality but the DVD version will not be bad at all.

I agree. The graphics card HDMI out is not the best option (for CC) but niether are propietary codecs of the Matrox system.

I myself would rather use the DV converter but to each his own.

I think the Deckling card would be better option but I can not say for sure since I do not have one to test out.
