[Mark Raudonis] “Most networks are settling in on HDCAMsr as the master delivery format of choice, for the reasons mentioned earlier (12 ch audio and 4:2:2 color space).”

HDCamSR is the preferred delivery format for networks and broadcasters- it is that because of the flexibility of the system. 10bit, 4:2:2 or 4:4:4 capable, frame rates to 1080 60p, 3D/Stereo, conversions, format universality (all 720 + 1080 formats) since the 5800 series the ability to do a machine to machine clone over SDTI at 4x realtime.

The newest versions of the deck allow you to WRITE DATA to an SR tapestock.

Michael- I am surprised that you do not have to deliver on SR with your specs, and I agree that often deliverables outside of the US tend to be more flexible.

I do not see tapeless delivery for mainstream programing for a while, but thats not to say that it does not happen, as 2009 will mark the first time that more commercials will be delivered to broadcasters via the internet than a fedex box with conventional tape stock.
