Make Reverb Ring Out

Ah yes this age old question… used to fool me on Avid until I started applying it to the track (RTAS effect). Now that I’m on PP the trick is back to cutting the effect (reverse cymbal in my case), nest the clip, add a plain black title card to the nest so it extends a few seconds past the out point, and now you can roll out your tail trim and apply the effect.

Of course you can designate a track that will serve as your Reverb/SFX track so there’s that but the solution above is my preferred method in FCP/Premiere Pro.
