Mac Pro Internal Video Storage RAID

I’m looking for an alternative to the internal raid card that apple sells (I hear it’s awful). The CalDigit card seems to be an external raid card. Is the ATTO SAS H608 a good internal for Final Cut Pro? Is there another?

It is both. It stars by working with the internal drives. Then later, if you want, you can buy the HD ELEMENT from CalDigit and those attach externally and can be added. But it is primarily an internal card.
