May 18, 2012 at 10:42 amYears ago German spelling changed. The new rules are “Tipp” compared to the older “Tip”. The word “Tip” can be be used as a “loned word” in case of waiter/waitress or so.
Same with “Stopp” instead of the old “Stop” — and so on.
So obviously those rules made it over the border.P.S.
Funny thing is that traffic signs still say “STOP”. So in theory you can ignore them as they are not printed in correct official German 🙂Spherico
