March 9, 2008 at 2:54 pmYou sir are correct about the SFX and speed. I hastily added the SFX and it was not really what I was looking for. When I work out the technique I plan to add SFX that sound like a slower stressing bending sound.
I have reuploaded a new version HERE
I think I have two issues with it not looking realistic:
1 – The letter effect punches in backwards. In my mind the letters should first appear in the middle of letters and spread out as they are formed.
2 – The background should react to being stamped by appearing bent, stressed and cracked. I am trying to attempt this by using some textures and creating a diisplacment effect that I apply to tbe background using CC Glass. I think it is a matter of finding the right cracked and torn image as the Map
I am thinking of making a new DP MAP that uses a slightly larger version of the lettering, and then adding cracks and tears aroung the edges of the letters.
Thanks,
Dave

March 10, 2008 at 6:21 pmHi Steph – you might want to consider putting the tutorials here at the cow. Several people have already discovered that they can’t keep their sites running with the kind of demand the AE community puts on bandwith from video tutorials.
Just mentioning it, in case you were interested.
