Sounds like admission should come with a coupon for an angioplasty.

So who gets to eat the Butter Cow at the end of the fair? You should definitely get a still shot of the butter cow to post here – fits right in with the theme…

Now, if we could just find a Pancake Cow…

My wife goes to the San Diego State Fair with her brother as a long standing tradition.

They both go on a “diets be dammed” basis.

A few years back the winner of the “oh my god – should we actually try that?” sweepstakes was Deep Fried Butter on a Stick.

They said this year, the hightlight was a mere cheeseburger … pause … built on a bisected Krispy Kreme Doughnut rather than a bun.

Actually, the butter is recycled and stored in a deep freeze and used over several years, with a bit more added each year. We actually did a story one year where we calculated how many pancakes the butter cow could cover.

I know this is threadjacking, but I have to tell you, the Butterfly pork chop on a stick is the best $4 you will spend at any state fair. It is a specially cut chop with a longer rib bone segment left on the end as a “handle”, so you can east this with one hand. And the best drink is an orange-lemon “shakeup”, which is icewater, ice cubes and sugar, mixed with fresh squeezed lemons and oranges.

Ha. Yes Bill, that is so true.
I remember when I first got to Germany, and saw an ad for margarine, that was a beautiful topless woman walking out of a lake, and getting it on with this buff man. This was in the middle of spongebob, about 3:30 in the afternoon!

    Here is the spot.

Wisconsin State Fair this weekend here too….Have to take the kids to the Austin Mahone concert tomorrow night….he’s a “Bieber Lite” act.

I think we have the chocolate dipped bacon on a stick…very tasty.

    And lots of cheese interpretations.
