August 20, 2010 at 5:42 amYou do realize that if you simply turn on “wrap” vs. “no wrap” within the text part of the boris 3d titler, then the text doc will always remain a specified size and there will be no shifting left or right.
It will shift up and down though. However that is easily solved. When you need a title that has less lines, don’t delete a line, just replace the line with a space.
Do I get a checkmark for this one?

August 20, 2010 at 12:55 pmI would give you 4 gold stars if I could. All these years and the answer was right there.
That totally fixes it. This makes the titles have a fixed width, this giving them an anchor point of sorts. Thanks so much, Brett.

August 20, 2010 at 3:56 pmBTW final cuts titler isn’t that bad. It’s the same titler After Effects has. After Effects 3.0 that is!
For video, I’m still looking for FCP to have a basic WYSIWYG titler, that actually shows what you’re doing on the broadcast monitor while you work. You know, a titler like Avid, Premiere or Media 100 had a couple years ago. You know, back in 1996. It really is embarrassing.
Here’s hoping Apple has been neglecting FCP for the last couple years because it’s coming out with a completely new product / overhaul.
