This is most helpful info! I have a multi-media (stills, film, standard dv & hi def dv) that’s a kinetic collage style. Some clips have fields–esp ones where I’ve speed up the motion 200-400%–so I’m trying to get rid of them. Using the above method, I assume I should input individual clips, not the entire timeline (or mov of entire file), to compressor–correct? When I input the individual clips, should the clips be the original source footage, or the speeded up clip?

I tried this yesterday, & input a 10 min source clip to compressor & then input individual clips from that into fcp. This took 10 hours for 30 seconds in the film!!! I don’t mind doing the work, I just don’t want to have to re-do it. I need to know if it’s better to input the original source without any motion added & add the motion in fcp after it has been delaced in compressor? OR, is it better to input the clip with the speeded up motion into compressor?

Thank you very much! I appreciate your help with this!
