I have a pretty beefy system, and never use optimized media or render cache. I work at HD, then switch to 4K (if required) for mastering.

Thanks, guys! While my system may not be as beefy as Glenn’s, I tend to do very simple stuff, mostly color correction and grading and editing, no compositing or F/X.
