importing dvcpro hd from m10u to lhe audio/video settings?

This doesn’t work with FCP 5.1.2 and not sure if it works with any FCP version. If FCP sees the HDV signal via Firewire, it says that all settings must be HDV to capture. The only way to control the deck is to ensure that the Firewire is set to downconvert to DV and then use DV for Deck control.
