August 14, 2005 at 8:35 amThe offset adjusts the start of the overlaid timeline timecode. From then on it displays the (‘real’ timecode plus the offset) number as the overlaid numerals.
It will be much more efficient if you download the trial version and see for yourself. If you like it, buy it. If not, then you’ll be back with AE and fixed overlays.

I have tried DVdate and AE and neither do what is needed. DVdate does show the timeline timecode but only of the clip that it is applied to. AE does not show the timecode of the timeline at all.Ken Adolph

Put your timeline sequence into another sequence and apply DVdate to the whole lot if you want timecode for the whole timeline.
