August 1, 2011 at 3:05 amHey Guys.
here’s a quick ready made solution which works well for above camera (handle) mounting to 3/8″ holes.

Just in case the link doesn’t work – cardellini clamp / skinny mini. I have one. Tested. All good.cheers

August 1, 2011 at 1:22 pmHi Guys,
Can you tell me how i format my SSD for use in the Shuttle, my SSD is a SATA111 Vortex3.?
The Mac Pro will not do the format, as you know it must be HFS+. -

August 2, 2011 at 10:03 amOk , so how do you format your SSDs, do you use a PC or a MAC?. At present i have a Hyperdeck Shuttle and a SSD which are useless.
PS The SSD is a OCZ 240GB Vertex3 recommended by Blackmagic. -

I do work on a Mac. To format the disk you need the SSD in an external dock that it´s recognized by the disc formatting tool from OSX. Within that program you select the SSD disc icon (which is the upper icon not the icon below) and select the erase tab, choose “extended journaled” and start the formatting process.
You should now be able to record on the Hyperdeck. In fact I know in what situation you are – it didn´t work here for some time as well but now everything is fine. A bit confusing are the LEDs on the Hyperdeck. SSD is flashing only when it´s in read/write state, but it doesn´t indicate that a correct formatted SSD is inserted.
I don´t know how to format an SSD on a PC as HFS+ – as far as I know you´ll need a special program to format for HFS+.
Hope that helped.

August 2, 2011 at 12:14 pmAs stated i use a Mac Pro, i connect the dock to the Mac via USB but the SSD does not show up in the disk utility, i have two SSDs so the fault is not with the drives. If i can”t see it i can format. What SSDs do you use and what docking station have you got?.
