Well I’m always of that mindset. But given the silly low price of the new Blackmagic Mini Converters, I don’t see it as a significant purchase. The converters are also great for feeding embedded SDI audio into your analog mixer. Buy whatever you want. But you’re the one who asked me why it’s different using component on a CRT vs an LCD. It is different and I hope I explained it to your liking.

I agree with the Dell, but the HP is supposedly the most accurate LCD monitor in existence.

I never said it was the single most important thing. I don’t know what that argument tactic is called exactly, but I’m sure it’s one or more of these:
