Um, they were also started by Turner Broadcasting which already had some success with a little thing called the TBS SuperStation. They also had Ted Turner and several million in start up capital. So Vicky’s situation is just a tad different unless he has a financial backer already lined up.
Vicky if you want to start some local “what’s happening at the local café” type of thing, with your handicam and laptop, you could do that today. If you want to start something that’s on broadcast, I would definitely check with Neil first to see who can consult with you in your area.
