You you recorded a 60p video of the 18p Super 8 movie while it was playing? Wow. Why didn’t you just take 24p video of it and be done with it?
At this point I would render an image sequence of the frames that you have on the timeline. Then import that image sequence and tell Vegas Pro that it is 18 fps. Then drop that video on the timeline and run my script on it.

I’ll give it a try john. Thanks for your input!

In doing it your way you are playing back the source 25% faster though so it’s not the correct frame rate since you are consuming 24 frames every second instead of 18.

March 23, 2014 at 5:12 amHi John
I shoot at 60fps. I run a script to pick out the good frames and gives me back 18fps. I time stretch the frames to equal the 24fps. Then I render out to 24p. When I time stretch, it actually gives me 60fps from the good 18 frames. It must interpolate accordingly, as it looks great. It just seems ackward. It would be better to just specify within Vegas to do so… -

OK, so instead of time stretching manually, you can run my script and it will do the stretching and disable resample for you.

March 23, 2014 at 6:36 pmJohn. Is there a way to save only frames that are markered and remove the rest?
(should I start a new thread for this?)
Thanks

Our VASST Ultimate S Pro plug-in has this capability. You can save an image sequence at markers from the Editing Tools tab.
