How to ensure color is accurate for movie screens at film festivals?

Thanks Walter! My colors are pretty accurate, but there are sharper, better monitors out there for sure. I could export my project and bring it into After effects, open it in a project with a color space of sRgb or Rec. 709, and save it back out with that color space, do you think that’d be worth it or even necessary?

That would do absolutely nothing. Your footage is already presumably Rec. 709 since it’s HD, and Premiere is not color managed, so it will have effectively been processing in Rec. 709 (since your sources were Rec. 709).

I have written quite a bit about color management over on the COW’s Ae forum — a quick search there should show a couple good threads if you are interested. Of course, if you have specific questions, I’d be happy to try to answer.

Walter, you just saved me a ton of time and frustration go through all that, thank you!:0) I didn’t realize HD footage was already Rec. 709, that helps a lot. I’ll take a look at your info about color management, it will help me get to know it better. Thanks so much for your help and insight!
