    jpeg2000 is wavelet, lossless but quicktime’s version is still only 8 bit, but it’s similar to animation and even 3x smaller in size. You can buy 16bit jpeg2000 codecs. They are nice if you want lossless and have no hard drive space. Hollywood is using them for digital films in hard drive format. But for large renders, you can’t beat Tiff lzw off, its smaller than PSD and 16bit 100% math lossless.

    Yes. None16 was our test codec to verify that AE was handling 16bit qt correctly without our compression interfering.
