That’s where you’re mistaken.
SD cards are storage medium only and were never designed to be the equal of a hard drive.
Copy the footage to your computer’s hard drive, ideally drive D with drive C being your programs and D being reserved exclusively for all your raw and edited footage and anything else project-related. -

You’ve been told by more than one person here that your computer isn’t up to the task of editing the footage that you’re using.
You need to realize that they’re trying to help you, not criticize you, so I recommend you start taking their advice.
