HD to DVD – Hardware Downconvert Workflow

Hi Dave

I’ve been having similar issues with moire/shimmering patterns that are highly visible on DVD output. I’m working with HDV 1080i footage that has been dropped into a DV PAL Anamorphic timeline. Would this method with AFX work with a self-contained DV PAL quicktime file as it does with HD?

I’m very interested to try this out to see if it eliminates some of the horrid shimmering effects that I’ve noticed in the finer details; especially when there are pans over trees and movement in wide shots.

Also note, I don’t have any hardware solutions to work with, so I’m limited to fixing this issue with software.
