January 9, 2008 at 10:09 pmNo. As a freelance compositor, I don’t deal with capturing or exporting to tape unless it’s elements that I’ve shot myself on DV transferred via Firewire. So I don’t have anything like a Kona capture card or equivalent hardware.

January 10, 2008 at 5:13 pmOkay. First you will have to download the codecs from AJA. Make a new sequence then hit apple-0 (zero) to bring up the settings. You will have to setup the comp for 4:4:4 RGB which means 1920×1080 23.98fps field dominance of none. Compressor = AJA 10 Bit RGB codec (or 10 bit LOG). Click the advanced tab and choose your range (full or SMPTE). Then click the Video Processing tab and choose ‘Always Render in RGB’.
