January 28, 2011 at 9:27 amAnyone having found a solution yet ?
This issue is unbelievable. We did reconfigure from scratch a virgin Mac Pro of one of our customers concerned by this issue by reinstalling on a different Drive Mac OS X 10.6.5, FCS 7.03 and DeckLink drivers 7.9.4, and tried with local storage, and same issue still there, memory errors and loss of the video output. No other cards within the Mac Pro except the built-in Radeon 5770 and DeckLink 3D.
This is going to madness.
Even another customer working with a basic Intensity pro has issues with video output being half green/pink. I hope someone finds a solution. -

January 28, 2011 at 11:30 amWhen you remove the Decklink drivers the issue is gone? ( or set External video to OFF )
I have had 2 MacPro’s with these issues. They are replaced with AJA cards. Issues are gone.
Blackmagic has serious issues here.

January 31, 2011 at 2:21 pmMy issue turned out to be a defective HDMI display. I haven’t done extensive tests with the card yet, but I can now say that HDMI and composite outputs are performing properly.

February 10, 2011 at 4:05 amOur Decklink HD 3D Extreme appeared to work correctly for about a month and then all of a sudden Final Cut 7.0.3 wouldn’t play from the timeline and froze the program. I had to “force quit” and then when i tried to reopen FC, it wouldn’t. I uninstalled the BlackMagic drivers and FC opened properly. Since this issue began i notice my machine is taking longer to boot even with the driver removed.
The OS is 10.6.6, the BM driver is 7.9.4 and Final Cut is 7.0.3, 8 core Mac Pro.
I put the card in a PC to test that and it doesn’t crash CS5 Premiere but doesn’t display out of the HDMI out to a monitor either when trying to watch AVCHD 720-30P clips in Premiere with Blackmagic showing as the playback device. I’m wondering if the card is defective. Any ideas anyone?

March 9, 2011 at 2:18 pmI have this same problem as well. When using Blackmagic 3 HDMI out from FCP 7 on a Mac Pro running os 10.5; FCP constantly crashes when scrolling through clips.
Using the HD SDI output it is stable or simply turning off output via Blackmagic it is stable.
Has anyone found a solution to this?
(The monitor we use is an HP Dreamcolour LCD)

July 14, 2011 at 1:08 amI too have had major issues with much the same gear setups as most of the previous posts….Big revelation yesterday MAGIC BULLET LOOKS…doesn’t work with Blackmagic or Kona cards! It took a lot of digging but on the red giant support site in a compatibility tab there it is…we do not support blackmagic or kona cards…
