Free Goodman Guide for HDX900

I just got notification from the company handling the free guide books on Panasonics behalf that the serial number on my camera (that was bought at Samy’s in LA) doesn’t match the ones on their list….???? What a pain. Hope that the camera isn’t discontinued b4 they straighten it out and send out the book.

What you should be hoping is that your camera is not “greymarket”, which would mean that not only no book, but no warranty.

Meryl Altman here; Product Line Business Manager for the HDX900. Firstly, permit me to reiterate that Panasonic has NO intention of discontuing this camera. We shall maintain our support of all of our tape based clientele for years to come.
I am sorry that your serial number was not accepted by our fulfillment company.This is a complex proceedure and could have some hicups. Please write me a personal email regarding the particulars and I promise to address your concerns this Friday. Currently I am in the midst of National meetings and I will be able to give it my complete intention on Friday.
One last thing Nick; a promotion of this magnitude could obviously have some wrinkles. It is a commitment from Panasonic to honor all of our promotions.

I am assuming that if I bought the camera through a US dealer (Samy’s) then it cant be grey market…………right?
