It actually doesnt have 2pass VBR…

I have just purchased Popwires WMV component
and am disapointed with the lack of options..

I am using the DVD DL setting because I need the best quality
possible but find that motion is a problem.

I am working with sports footage with fast motion
and cant seem to get the settings right or find any
    help on their website…

Will the keyframe settings help my cause?

    Any ideas?

You were referring to ‘Compression Master’ and ‘Compression Engine’, not the ‘WMV Component’.

Compression Master has 2pass VBR, the WMV Component only has 1 pass.

You bought the ‘wrong’ product; that second VBR pass available in CM could make all the difference in quality for you.

You might want to check out the manual for CM for some more help:

    https://www.popwire.com/documents/manu/CM_4_0_1_Manual.pdf

(More keyframes can equal higher temporal quality at the expense of bigger files/higher data rate).

    Good luck..

Flip4Mac Studio Pro HD does 2 Pass VBR, exports out of FCP (as well as QuicktimePro and Compressor) and costs a lot less than Compression Master (which has many more codecs but if you’re just looking for WM 2 Pass VBR it may sufice). The Universal exporter should be ready in a fews weeks since it’s already in beta.
