Final Cut Pro makes TEXT images look like ctrap!

I had this problem as well with some Livetype and FCP. On playback and render the text would tear and be jumpy all over the place.

I eventually was guided by David Weiss towards the built in Boris 3D text tool. Worked like a charm!

Your problem is most likely because the project properties in Livetype are the default settings which are CCIR 601 720 X 486. You can change them to be formatted properly for a DV sequence. (DV NTSC 3:2, 720 X 480, lower field dominant) Then it will work fine. Your Livetype settings must match your FCP sequence settings. It’s not a problem with FCP.
